─2008 Jobs for Life Graduate of the Year
The highlight of the 2008 Leadership Conference was the celebration of the 2008 Jobs for Life award winners. “Jobs for Life” is a faith based non-denominational organization that assists individuals into developing moral value, purpose, and higher job and career ethics. They are located in 275 cities, 40 states, and 9 countries servicing thousands of individuals each year.
In 2008 ─ their first National celebration─ three awards were presented to individuals and organizations that went above and beyond in their efforts to embody Job’s for Life’s purpose to elevate the power of work to transform lives. Out of 4000 nation-wide graduates that year one of the top awards was presented to a Man of Valor, Frank Turner Jr. for the graduate of the year.
While enrolled in the Men-of-Valor Jericho Project program which is a faith-based prison ministry Frank joined Jobs for Life. Through Men of Valor’s collaboration with JFL, Frank began to learn and understand his value and acquire the principles to overcome the roadblocks in his life; He is now an author, life coach, and owns his own brick mason business.
Listening to Frank’s acceptance speech at the 2008 National conference it became very clear to everyone in the room, right there in front of us was the very reason we do what we do: a life transformed! SOLI DEO GLORIA (To God Be the Glory)
